Hi!

Does anyone here have any recommendations for a good veterinarian in the Overland Park/Leawood area?

Thanks in advance! :)

The vet at the Banfield (in Petsmart) is awesome. Some Banfield vets are awful, but the one there is terrific and I love their Wellness Plans. They too fabulous care of my Boxer when he was attacked by a pit bull last year.

I used Banfield when I lived in Leawood and had a great experience. I've also used Banfield clinics all over the country and have nothing but great things to say about them. My dog has been on their Wellness Plan since the day I brought him home. Good luck!

We used to take our cat to the State Line Animal Hospital, behind Gates BBQ at 103rd and State Line, if you're closer to the east side of Leawood. I forget exactly what our vet's name was (Dr. Otto? Otes? something like that...), but he was always very nice.

We are quite close to that location! By chance, are they very expensive?

I refuse to use Banfields and support a store that actively participates in poor care of animals and supports small animal mills like Petsmart, so when I move I will be using Overland Park Veterinary Center‎.

Where did you get this information on Banfield? I've searched and can't find anything to back your statements. I can't imagine anyone treating animals poorly at any of the Banfield clinics I've taken my dog to. I've only ever known them to be charitable toward animals in need.

Banfields is attached to Petsmart. Petsmart is the instigator of cruelty and mill-breeding. Because Banfields and Petsmart hold a contract together, I refuse to support one as they support each other.

Okay, then back up your claims about Petsmart.
