*dons Biologist Hat* A flower blooms to attract pollinators, and after pollen has been dropped onto the "female" part of the flower (pistil), the petals fall off. Pollen travels down the pistil to the ovary at the base of the flower, which then grows into a fruit. If Ezeria's people eat the part of the plant that humans traditionally label fruit-- apples, pears, peaches, oranges, figs, etc. or mutated versions of these-- then they would also be familiar with the flowers of those plants. Ezeria and Lillian could find a type of flower they haven't seen before, but Ezeria would probably know what a flower is if she knows what a fruit is and places fruit in a different mental category from vegetables and grains.
Ah, okay. I was worried that this wouldn't work, but decided to try it anyway. I'll rework this.
Also yes. Renza does love Ezeria and Lillian is a giant woobie.

Ah, okay. I was worried that this wouldn't work, but decided to try it anyway. I'll rework this.
