Here is an other translation of Reiya Watanabe and Toma Kaneuchi
the page is from Duet 07/10. Translation is credit to juniority

Reiya Watanabe: My favorite subject in school is classical literature.
My teacher is a very enthusiastic personso the lessons are easy to understand.
The way my teacher properly pauses in his talking to give us time to take notes is super helpful.
Isn’t it really hard to take notes while the teacher is talking? A teacher who understands that is a good teacher.
I’m already in my third year of high school, so I’ve started talking with my friends about future life choices a lot~.
Serious conversations don’t really suit us; stuff like: “what are you gonna do?” often comes out.
I don’t even have one full year of high school left, somehow it’s become lonely~.
I bought the high-cut canvas sneakers that I wanted. The color is red.
They were on sale so I thought: “now!” Then I wanted to redecorate the sneakers in a cool way,
so I bought studs that cost four times as much as the sneakers! It took an entire night to put on all 100 studs,
and when I noticed the time it was 5 A.M… (smile) There were a lot of difficulties,
but I’ve completed the sneakers just like I imagined them!
 They’re this summer’s footwear!

Toma Kaneuchi: I’ve become a 2nd year middle schooler in a new class.
Being separated from my group of close friends will be lonely…
Is what I thought at first, but for the first time in 5 years,
I’m in the same class as a kid I often played with in my first or second year of elementary school!
What a relief~. Also, recently, I’ve become the person math teacher’s assistant.
It seems like a position that requires a lot of work, doesn’t it? It’s actually really easy.
The math teacher is someone who wants to do everything by himself, so he only relies on us to do odd jobs.
The teacher from the other department is always asking his assistant for help with things
like distributing printed worksheets. I got pretty lucky this year…
During the consecutive holidays in May, I suddenly thought: “I’ve got the feeling that if I continue like this,
nothing will ever change,” so I started doing everything that I could, and practiced singing.
I don’t do anything professional. I just sing in my bedroom and in the bathroom.
But doing something is better than doing nothing, right? But now my singing has become a little bothersome.
My Mom told me: “you’ve gone through puberty, so stop {meaning that he’s too old to go around singing loudly}”
but if I stop now everything will have been meaningless. I’ll push on!
