Um. The problem lies in that UFO means Unidentified Flying Object. If you mean flying saucer/alien spacecraft, clarify the question....
There's a lot of flying objects which aren't identified. For all I know, said party guest could be discussing a frisbee seen from a distance.

I think it is partly because I'm their first UK student, they're putting a lot of effort in so that the exchange starts off really well.
It is good though, I do feel quite secure knowing that I won't have to bumble around making embarrassing Japanese mistakes and screwing up official-y things... :D

Um, was there something new? I dunno...I did hear he hadn't got his visa or flight yet (on Monday) which set off alarm bells, considering that Nat's flying out there next Wednesday. That's a bit worrying...but as I say, that's just through the grapevine.

That was my university, Ehime. Basically, he passed Brookes standard, but (as John told me via phone), Ehime politely declined accepting him on the grounds that they are a national university and his mark a.) wasn't a pass to them and b.) his past failures don't really give him a glowing profile. Unfortunate, but I...can understand their viewpoint.
He got into Kitakyushu because there was a place free.
