You can live fairly well on your loan if you're sensible. Additionally, go to your international office soon after arriving and quiz them over all available funding. There might be extra help available! And you could get part-time work doing English?

And, my advice? Blutack. The stuff doesn't exist in Japan. At all. XD
Also, hand luggage is your friend because they don't tend to weigh it, so you can stuff it full of all your books and othe heavy things when you find your main bag is over the limit for the flight.

Haha, I never looked last time, but I'll take your word on it and add it to my list!
Ah, you see I'm not sure on that one :/ They didn't weigh it when I flew to China, but on the way back they did :( I have 10kg though, so I think I'll be okay :)
