He didn't waste a single moment. He didn't allow a single thought to pass through his mind before he exited his home in Hisato, careful to avoid any questions, any other people living in that house quickly becoming a cramped living space. The only thing that mattered then was getting to her, protecting her, and deciding, from there, how everything would be handled.

How long did it take? He didn't count the minutes, every flashing step he took that carried him to the place of peace, the place he sought her out so many times before. When he needed guidance, he was here, at the very tree she was pictured to be standing in front of, asking her what he should do. And now, now that she was there, he didn't know what to do.

What could he do? There would be nothing, nothing that would make any of it all right. She would see, soon enough, the things he did, the pain he caused. He was fine if she chose to hate him for it, he had already decided he would accept the consequences of his actions. That was his choice to make and he made it. A poor decision, but a decision nonetheless. No... these things didn't matter, not right now. For now, he had to make sure she was safe.

His final step was light, graceful, breaking through the forest that surrounded that tree acting like a beacon to proceed slowly, steeling himself for whatever it was he'd see. Or, perhaps it would be more precise to say what she would see.

"Hisana," he spoke when he was close enough for her to hear without yelling, carrying himself with the noble air he always had, expression as blank as possible. He gave but a passing glance at the tall tree, most of his attention on trying to distance himself.
