[Cleaning day is always a good day. Gau is humming as he moves through the house, dressed in a light yukata and a pair of heavy cleaning gloves that he got from the summoning shop. They are not the one-use latex kind... he did pick up some of those as well, but he's saving them for other activities.
These heavy rubber gloves will last him a while though, and they clean off easily enough, and who cares that they're some horrible shade of pink that makes him look like some crazy housewife?
He breathes in deep the smell of lemon as he sets the bucket he's carrying down, drops to his knees on the floor beside it, one hand reaching in for the sponge.
The floor will be immaculate when he's done with it. It's a given, a soothing part of reality that never changes. His ability to take something that is dirty, covered in germs and footprints and bits of dust and dirt, and turn it into a gleaming bright surface...
It's his greatest comfort.
He hums happily as he starts his scrubbing in one corner of the bathroom, each movement neat and precise, a huge smile on his face all the while.]
