Or perhaps not nervous. Perhaps that is the wrong word. There wasn't any fear in the way he held himself. She didn't get the impression that he wanted to flee from her, as humans often do when cornered, or even that he was terribly uncomfortable.
But he seemed ready. For - a fight? For something.
Just his instincts, probably. That is, she thought, the sort of man he is. Or perhaps he is just shy. Ah, poor Katsuya. He should have known there was no reason to be shy around Yukari, but then he was a naturally reserved fellow, it seemed to her. But that was fine. Yukari would just have to convince him to open up.
So in answer, she merely smiled and waved, and asked, "What's your brand, Katsuya?"

He showed her the box: pale blue, a white logo, and shorter than the average cigarette. English mixed with Japanese on the cover... 'Mild Sevens.'
And in a way, he decided to test his luck.
"I could also do with a portable ash-tray."

That's good. That's definitely good. Well, Yukari is happy to provide. Of course she is. Whatever would make Katsuya happy would make Yukari happy as well, so it was really rather obvious. So Yukari did not hesitate - she flicked a finger through the air, caught on nothingness and tore it open, and her hand darted inside (it makes him uncomfortable, those gaps, and she doesn't want to subject him to it at a time like this) and pulled out a packet of cigarettes (Mild Sevens, good taste) and a keychain ashtray. The gap snapped shut hastily, and Yukari could only hope he didn't see the eyes.
"I suppose I should scold you for risking your health," she said, but her smile remained in place. It wasn't as though death could really come between them at any rate.

"Yes, maybe." He answered cool, worried, a brow raised. "I suppose you could. Would you mind if I had one?" Perhaps the pack would open up and be a joke until the foot rub was procured. "And, are you sure, you don't want anything at all?"

Should she humor him? She thought probably not. Better to establish things early on - Yukari didn't need to be provided for. Whatever she needed, she would get for herself. Katsuya being there was enough for her. Why should she want anything else?
