[Sasori tries to suppress his mounting agitation. It's been an hour since he and Kisame met and separated to search, and neither of them have found any sign of Deidara.

He thought that over the years he had tempered his fool partner's reckless behavior, but it seems like every time Sasori turns his back, Deidara gets himself in over his head again, usually because he chooses to ignore Sasori's advice. If that fool's gotten himself killed...

He scowls, shaking his head to dispel the thought. He knows that Deidara's too intent on blowing himself up to let himself die in such a ridiculous fashion. He must have simply hit that hard head of his and be unconscious.

He reaches the massive rubble pile that was once a mountain, and for a moment, hope surges when he sees a moving figure.

Sasori's scowl deepens when he sees that it's Sasuke instead of his boneheaded partner. There is a touch of resentment that wells up, that this Uchiha is somehow...intruding, even if he is Deidara's husband.

Deidara is his partner, damn it. This is his ( ... )

There's another thing that Sasuke and Deidara have in common - old friends who won't leave them the hell alone. Not that Sasuke is ungrateful for help in looking for Deidara, exactly, but of course Sasori is going to want to stay and lecture him about what an idiot he is, and that is Sasuke's job.
