Ginko had spent those two days out in that rain, observing the fauna as colder weather was approaching. He hadn't exactly meant to sleep out in it too, but that's just how things worked out. He'd managed to stay somewhat dry by staying under trees and using his coat as a raincover, but he was pretty thoroughly damp by this time ( ... )

"Don't need anything. Just saw you. Decided to say hey." Ginko's voice sounded a little rough Jason noticed, and the man looked tired. Jason didn't really blame, him. He must have been sleeping outside, and during the rain too, and there was just something inherently exhausting about being constantly damp.

"You looking for herbs or something for your medicines here?" He asked, comfortably leaning against a tree.

"I see." Ginko paused--had he been going to say something else? After a moment he decided that if he'd forgotten what it was it probably wasn't important, and turned his attention back to the greenery he was kneeling in.

"Yeah." Pushing plants aside so he could look under them, he examined the leaves carefully. "There's one particular herb I know grows around here... thought I'd look for it while I was in the area."

Jason leaned over, peering at the greenery. He could made any combination of explosives from a variety of household chemicals, but plant based poisons had alluded him. He felt the irony, the fact that Ginko used his knowledge to fix people, and Jason would use it to kill them.

"Huh." He eyed the plants a moment longer. They all looked like...well plants. "Any luck finding it?"

He teased a darker, leafy plant out from where it had been hiding--it was smaller than the other plants around it, but it still looked like a large (for its species), healthy plant. "Got it." He carefully tore the plant out of the earth, roots and all--they traveled better that way, and the roots of this plant could be used for some things as well ( ... )
