Especially inseparable now that Leo is finally here after a month. Elliot has made sure to practically always be around Leo, unconsciously or not. But that's not important.
And it's so nice, to have someone to be with like this again. Someone it's so easy to just say one word, or none at all, and who will know what he means with it. Someone it's so easy to just up and go with whenever there's a wish to, no complications, no need for plans. Something that flows so easily, effortlessly.
Something irreplaceable.
A stroll around the house just to pass the time (there's a lot of time to make pass somehow), now, when he hears Vincent's voice. He pauses, with a blink, and leans back to glance around the corner.
"Wonder what he wants..."
Muttered to Leo as he turns around to wait, folds his arms.
Even without the unique events that heralded his arrival here, just knowing that Elliot had been here without him for a time, Leo was consciously making an effort to stay with Elliot, whether Elliot was aware of his pointless guilt or not.
Part of him was still getting used to the world around him, no longer having any hair to hide his dark eyes behind. But Elliot was still his main concern. He didn't care what they did. As long as he was with Elliot, that sort of thing didn't matter.
It was nice to get out.
But he still tensed up a little when he heard Vincent calling them. What now? Still, he stopped and waited patiently with Elliot.
"I don't know." It was anyone's guess with Vincent.
Vincent smiled cheerfully as he approached, glad to see that they were waiting for him. Then again, Elliot of all people didn't have reason to avoid him! He'd tried quite hard to be a good brother to the boy, since coming to this world.
"In a hurry, little brother?"
Vincent inclined his head toward Leo as well, even as he spoke, being sure the servant knew that his presence was expected and appreciated as well.
Indeed Vincent has been a good brother, but Elliot has never felt a real need to avoid him as much as just be wary of him. It's... a little complicated, really. Always has been.
"Not really," Elliot says simply, shrugs a shoulder. "Why?"
Not really meaning not at all. Did it look that way or something?
"I had hoped that I might have a word with you both."
Vincent smiles, tilts his head a little, as if changing the angle of his view. In fact, that's exactly what he's doing, turning his eyes on the two of them together, considering fully the possible benefits to this thing he has done.
"You see, I was a little concerned that your servant might suffer some ill effect, considering his entry into this world was not entirely in the usual way."
