Someone else is not very, very awake. Someone else is, unsurprisingly, not very awake at all. And that someone is the very person who has their arm around Lenalee's waist.

If she turns, she'll see a red mop of hair, though the face is buried in a pillow. Lavi isn't aware something is wrong yet, but do feel free to wake him and make him aware.

Lenalee remains frozen beneath the arm for far longer than she can justify. She remembers. Remembers that that arm belongs to Lavi, because he was in bed with her last night, because-

Because she had somehow been under the impression that they were married. And all of a sudden so many things that seemed to make sense yesterday are too strange to even imagine; Allen married to Road, her solving marital disputes between Raikou and Kanda. It would be laughable, if not for the fact that the last thing Lenalee feels like doing right now is laughing. Why did she accept all of that?

No, that can be thought about later. For now there is the arm, and the press of another body against the bed beside her. Lavi.

They had kissed. It's somehow the first thought that pops into her head from all of it, and it sticks terribly. They had kissed. Several times, as if it was normal, in a not at all just-friendly way. There's a funnily shaped bump at the end of the bed. The blanket moves a little and a scowling face under messy black hair slowly sticks out. Kanda is probably the earliest bird in the household, but he's stayed put until now just in case, somewhat funnily squeezed between Lenalee and Lavi, or rather, their feet, where he had clearly spent the night protecting their virtue. Now however, once he sees Lenalee is awake, he's peeking out to make sure everything's alright. And that horrified look on her face confirms that it is - well, as in them finally being aware of the real situation. Just how alright that is, though, is up to debate.

"Morning," he greets simply with a blank expression.

At the abrupt and sudden movement, something prods at the back of Lavi's mind that there is something wrong. Warmth disappeared, and warmth doesn't usually disappear when one sleeps, so that. Is weird. So, slowly, awareness seeps into his mind as he stirs, mumbles and finally cracks an eye open and pushes himself up slightly on an arm ( ... )

Lenalee glances down at Kanda in some disbelief. And suddenly his insistence on staying makes sense-- he couldn't make them realize how strange things were while they were in that state. So he stayed to make sure that they wouldn't do anything that they would regret later. Except later is now, and she is already deeply regretful enough for the things that did happen-- she could almost kiss Kanda for having preventing anything worse, except that she doesn't want to touch anyone right now ( ... )
