Gilbert stepped through the gate and held it until Elliot was in the yard as well, then closing it and giving Break a brief glance with a bit of a frown, maybe a slightly concerned one at that. "You know how long a travel takes..." he muttered, almost a bit defensively even though there was no real reason for him to justify himself just yet. Maybe he just had a thing for apologizing.

He was a little surprised to see the table set up, though. Who knew Break had this sort of hospitality in him, but, well, he definitely wasn't going to complain about it. He didn't want Elliot to feel any worse than he already was.

What was quite obvious, since the boy was unusually silent during their walk, and it was making him worried. He didn't want to pry, but...

Something was wrong.

Elliot didn't give a shit about "hospitality" right at this moment.

In fact, stepping into the yard and seeing that set-up didn't strike as hospitality to him at all. It got to him, in a bad way. He tensed, froze completely, and just stared for a moment, as his hands clenched into fists at his sides. It felt like mockery, mockery of what had just happened and what Break had done.

And he had no idea what to say. He opened his mouth, inhaled, intending to say something but he just... didn't... know.

Because, with the blood rushing to his head and his heartbeat being the only thing he heard, as he gritted his teeth together instead, all he could think was how he wanted to hurt Break now. Not talk to him, not make him answer things, just hurt him.

Trembling briefly, he inhaled sharply between his teeth, and as if the tension burst, he opened his mouth wide and yelled:

"WHAT'S THE MEANING OF THAT?!"

He felt better immediately with that, too.

"I do. I also know it's been more than thirty minutes since you let the tree" Break hummed faintly before giving Elliot his entire attention.

Break didn't even flinch at the shout from Elliot. Instead he carried on as if nothing happened. "this? Why I do believe it's called tea. This particular brand helps soothe the nerves or so I was told. I was thinking you could use a drink after the experience of being stolen from our world and brought here." he said with a smile before indicating the chairs.

"you two must be tired. Won't you join me?"

Gilbert scowled down, muttering something along the lines of "well we weren't really in a rush" or something of the like, and turned to his adoptive brother instead, flinching a bit as he yelled.

...well at least it was a bit of a more Elliot-like behavior.

He rubbed his temples. "Elliot, calm down," he asked a bit nervously, glancing between the other two worriedly. They'd better get along. Er, somewhat. He sighed a bit and stepped towards the table.

Gilbert was ignored, Elliot didn't hear his words. He continued on, because this was unbelievable. After that... that... display, Break thought he cared about having been tossed here? Even a little bit? Was he some damn idiot? It just wasn't about that, not. Now at least.

"DO YOU THINK I CARE ABOUT THAT?! IT'S NOT-- I--"

He stumbled again, still feeling the effects of fainting before, and after walking... And pressed his hand to his forehead. Trembling just a bit, for a moment.

"You--"

...sitting down might be a good idea, actually. Damn it.

He took a few deep breaths, getting himself, waiting for the slight dizziness to fade before he followed Gilbert towards the table, slowly. Damn it all, he hated this. He hated today.
