It was a bit like Japan and the boat trip there all over again. Except worse. Fighting aimlessly with seemingly no end in sight, that was nothing new, it happened every now and then. The difference was that the end usually came eventually, suddenly and abruptly and leaving a deaf silence behind while the warriors wondered if all of their comrades were still around, but here, it had yet to come ( ... )

Kanda has a bit more trouble fighting than usual, still seeing so much more hallucinations than he's used to, but he wouldn't be him if he wasn't managing almost better than everyone else. You could barely tell something's wrong with him, unless you know him, in which case it would probably be quite obvious. But he's holding up and -- oh no, you're not getting away, damn Akuma. They were lost. Or, as Timothy would have liked to say, Lavi had gotten them lost. Timothy was new here, and that was going to be his excuse for everything right now: he was new, so he didn't know where to go. He was new, so he got lost on the trail. "Shrine?" Thought for a moment as he brought his sword back up to his shoulder and let it merge back, then wiped some of the blood from around his mouth, straightening in the brief lull to see where they were. "... you're closer to the ferry then."

He frowned then, taking in his surrounding more. Uh... Right. This wasn't that good. Not familiar at all. A crunch of wet twig underfoot as he stepped back subconsciously; stay mostly back to back. Just him and Kanda then? Master, where had you run off to?

Lavi frowned and looked over at Dre and Timothy. That wasn't good; getting off-track with Dre in the picture. Timothy was a bit better off due to being an Exorcist but...

He was surprised that he was truly, honestly worried about Dre. And a little about Timothy, but especially Dre. When had he gotten this close to the kid? Oh well, didn't matter. That was how it was now, apparently. He would just have to deal with it.

"Hey, it's not my fault," he complained towards Timothy and pouted just a little before turning away with a huff to respond to the others.
