After a moment, she fades completely back into reality - or, rather, whatever one would call the dream world she concocts, as part of her abilities, and her offense against the Exorcists themselves. There's still a bit of wavering, especially around her torso, as the soles of her Mary Janes clack a little against the stone flooring, and she takes a few steps forward, toward Kanda.

Her eyes are alight with... something unrecognizable, an emotion that's rarely seen in them. She's always been intrigued with this one, this "second generation" Exorcist, if she remembers exactly right what they called him... Something seems to be off with him, in a way that can't be explained simply.

...of course, none of them have simply explained existences, neither the Noah nor the Exorcists, and she knows it. They all know it, Road is well aware, but it isn't a subject that's easily broached.

When she blinks at him, the gesture's slow. "You don't expect me to believe that~ Do you, Yu?" A smile, light and happy, as she says his name. So informal~ She ( ... )

Kanda eyes her warily, one hand moving towards where Mugen should be as she steps closer. He sees no amusement in this.

Nor in her implication, because, just like in that dream he had before, she's trying to assure him he is one and the same with his past, while he is certain it's otherwise, and maybe.. maybe actually insisting on it, because if it weren't right, what he is now wouldn't exist. And he's here, isn't he? With his own life.. comrades.. questions.. and just a hovering shadow of whoever there was before him, dictating things every now and then.

"I don't do lieing," he snaps in a silent snarl and glares at the girl, his voice a bit louder and angrier, "And don't call me that!" This name is only allowed to be used by special people.

She stops, right where she is, when she sees that hand moving around, and her smile becomes a smirk. She loves the not-so-delicate balance of her version of reality- So different from the actual reality outside the walls of the dream worlds she constructs~

Of course Road remembers the dream Kanda had of her- or, at the very least, featuring her. The skip comes back to her step, and she dances a little in front of Kanda, just as some voices begin to sound as though they're coming closer, but they're still so far away one can't completely understand what they're saying- Just that they're there, and they're talking, and they're coming closer~

Suddenly, the girl disappears, reappearing in Kanda's face, eyes wide but mouth still twisted in a cruel smile. "Oh~ They're coming! I'm so scared, you should hold me, Yu~"

Kanda scoffs a bit and looks around. He's hearing voices but he's not seeing anyone, and it makes him feel a bit uneasy. Reminding of his first dream here, really, with voices from behind the glass which he never saw telling him to kill, which were there in reality years ago telling him to touch and get ripped by the Innocence over and over, and it's not a very nice set of thoughts. He just doesn't like being confused. If he hears something, there must be something. It's already enough he sees something that aren't there. No, he's not going mad, absolutely not.

He blinks a bit as Road stuffs herself into his face, his look then turning very blank as he plants his boot in her body to push her away. "Hell no." And stop calling him Yu, dammit.

She fades out of existence as his boot launches at her, letting it go through her instead. A giggle, and she propels herself backward, letting the voice become louder, and one can begin to make out some of their words just as she fades completely from sight.

"...Innocence..."

"...not rejecting him! Please don't..."

"...can't stop it. This has to be done."

"No!"

The last is a high-pitched, shrill scream, in a voice that even Road, who's just reappeared right beside Kanda, recognizes... The girl turns, still smirking. "Oh~ Poor Alma~ About to be left all alone all over again~" She turns her head slowly, to look Kanda right in the eye.
