[Well at least there's one bit of success tonight. If Dre stays calm, then that should make running away easier. And it might help Timothy stay calm too, because he has a bad habit of breaking down and crying if a situation gets too stressful. Or if he skins his knee. He's not too good at this 'being one of the big kids' thing yet.

But anyway, Timothy runs off to the east, looking for the gate out of the city. With monsters attacking everywhere, it would be much safer to go somewhere that they haven't attacked yet. Of course, as soon as he thinks that, he has a horrible thought.]

Hey, you don't think they'll be outside the city too, do you?

[If they are, that kills his initial idea of staying safe by getting the hell out of dodge.]

[Dre followed nimbly, a boy who is always quick on his feet. And keeping his voice low but just loud enough for Timothy to hear so he didn't draw more attention than they wanted, he shook his head]

If they are goin' after people, they'd probably just stick to towns right? I mean thats the way it always happens in the movies....

[His head snaps back as he hears a loud crash somewhere behind them and is relieved to find that there is no giant monster chasing after them as they get through the gate]

...Besides, man, it might be our only chance, right? So we gotta try....

Movies?

[Timothy is from the late 1800s and is an orphan, so he has neither the technology nor the funds to see a movie. Which is a shame, he would love action movies if he knew what they were.

But he doesn't say more about it for now, because they've just passed the gate and Timothy just lets out a big sigh of relief. They're safe now.

Provided no monsters think of going outside the city, at least.]

Allen 'n the others'll be here once they beat up that Level 4, so let's not go too far. It'd be bad if they got lost trying to find us.

[Dre knows better than to try and explain movies at the moment, it is neither the time nor the place. Besides, they are all going to be alright so there is going to be lots of time to do that later, right?

Nodding to himself he reaffirms that yes, they are going to be alright. Then looking around he hums softly]

Maybe we should hide a little better? Like in a tree or a bush?

Yeah, that's a good idea.

[He'll need to stash his body somewhere anyway, just in case he uses his powers. That's the one downside: it's basically dead weight while he possesses someone else.

Maybe he should explain that to Dre too, so that he doesn't freak the poor kid out if he does have to use his powers.]

[He's looking around for a good place to hide while he talks.]

If I pass out, don't worry. That's normal, it happens when-

[He stops short. Did Allen ever explain Exorcist powers to Dre?]

[ Here for less than a week, and things were already in turmoil?

He probably should say it was the almost-fact that Allen Walker attracts trouble, but...he doesn't say that aloud. It's hard to say anything when everyone is ducking for covering.

When the dust clears a bit and he brushes it out of his hair the best he can, his eyes narrow briefly before they widen.

Akuma...here? And a Level 4 at that?

...maybe Walker did have a trouble magnet. ]

[Unfortunately, Iskierka did not know that Marco could change form, let alone that he could change form into a dragon. She also didn't know that this dragon was attacking monsters, not people. All she saw was a dragon blowing up stuff in the city and flying up to look around. And now that Iskierka has something she wants to protect, there is only one logical thought in her mind.

Watch out, Marco, a short burst of fire is headed in your direction.]

Be off with you, foul creature! This city is not for you to destroy!

[Rin, sitting on Iskierka's back, had, at first, also been taken aback by the other dragon. She'd had her suspicions, though. Marco's telepathic answer only confirms a thought that had been forming in her.

Unconsciously, she pats Iskierka's back, as if she were a cat.]

It's okay! Marco's here to help.

[flightandfire]

[At first Iskierka doesn't believe this dragon- though she is taken aback by the fact that it can talk- and is about to attack again when Rin catches her attention. She hesitates for a moment to speak to Rin, though her eyes remain on Marco.]

Are you certain? This could be a trick.

[And she reaches out with a clawed hand to smack the yoma away. She doesn't really trust Marco yet, as what he's saying is a bit unbelievable, but she won't get any answers if he's killed right now.]

[Rin, meanwhile, holds onto Iskierka for dear life and ducks.]

I'm not sure, but it might be the safest bet we have right now.
