[A thoughtful Sasori appears on screen. Behind him is a scene far calmer than the one that had served as backdrop in his previous message. It appears to be the ruins of an old shrine carved into the rockface of a cliff. A statue of an ancient, fallen god peers over his shoulder, half of its face crumbled and worn away to time. Feel free to join us, then. I've never been one for the sort of...pastoral life the other villages here provide, myself. I've no interest whatsoever in grubbing around in the dirt like some sort of civilian.
And cities can provide a wealth of artistic inspiration. This place is rather fascinating.

Oh I'll be there. I'll probably bring someone along. I'm guessing that's fine.
[Heine isn't asking. It's not something up for discussion.]

This is just the kind of information Rin needs, so she's listening and taking notes. So Yomisato is a place outside of the reach of divine control. Or maybe the gods just leave that spot of their realm to its own devices. Or there are different gods reigning over it.
Now, Rin also takes note of the name this man mentions. Deidara. Rin remembers talking to that one, and that it wasn't really a pleasant experience.
So this guy, he's allied with Deidara. And yet, he's putting out helpful information for others to see.
Interesting indeed.]

This guy seems to be gathering rebels, and that is intriguing. It seems big things might happen and when big things happen, he's not intending to stay on the sidelines.
Not directly anyway.
There's no doubt anymore that that's where he should go.]

What kind of tribute are we talking about here?

[The Akatsuki's operations in the world Sasori came from ultimately cost money, after all, and underworld figures could pay rather well for the sort of services shinobi like Sasori provided.
And a missing-nin must be willing to take work wherever they can get it.]
The gods who hold us here against our will wish for us to appease them for the privilege of being their prisoners, it seems. I've been told money or other items of import are expected to be offered in exchange for shelter, if one remains in the other villages.
I've no interest in bowing my head to those bastards. It's an affront that they toy with us and then expect us to thank them for it.

[Dre complicates things. A lot. There is no way that she is going to take him to a place like that, or leave him behind. There’s really no option but to back off from the whole thing. But that doesn’t mean abandoning it entirely.]
Sasori, I’m afraid that something’s come up. Allen and I won’t be able to stay there. I hope that you can still keep me informed if anything happens?

I see. That's a pity, but my offer remains open if your circumstances change.
And I'll be happy to keep you appraised of anything else I discover here. Working together is of benefit to us all.
