[What a weird video. And definitely one that rings alarm bells, what with the thick, red, viscous... but then, oh.

Face. Familiar face.

It's enough to make Rin respond on impulse.]

Kakashi-san? You're back?

[ This is not a familiar voice.

Kakashi does not know where it comes from. He glances about at first, sending out his chakra -- but feels nothing. Only the depth of the forest. It then occurs to him that the voice seemed to be coming from his... pocket? After a bit of searching, he discovers the strange device he had discarded earlier, surprised to see the face of a young girl who he doesn't recognize.

It then occurs to him -- this must be Uchiha Madara's doing. He has, after all, the ability to both create illusions and send an individual to another dimension.

So Kakashi narrows his eye as he stares down at the screen, and then proceeds to ignore it. ]

[... okay, what's with the weird.]

Ah, Kakashi-san? You heard me, right?

[A bit of blank, baffled staring at the screen... until things click.]

Do you... even remember?

[ It's the girl again.

Kakashi studies her for a moment. ]

I heard you. [ A pause. ] I remember very well that you use a time-space jutsu. I don't know where you've transported me to, or why you insist upon creating such genjutsu, but I'm not going to fall for your attempts to distract me from returning to the field, Madara.

[ Maybe if he makes it clear to Madara that he isn't going to fall for these illusions, then Madara will come forth. ]

[A familiar face on the hitomi, nearly a small sense of elation at seeing someone he knows, but his response is anything but.]

You look like hell.

[ Now this is a face he does recognize and trust. He can only assume Sai was somehow also transported into this strange dimension of Madara's. He's not entirely sure if it's genjutsu, or simply some kind of time-space warp that's sent them somewhere away from the battlefield. ]

Sai. Is anyone else here with you?

Yes, Naruto is here as well. Are you bleeding or is that not your blood?

Some of it's mine. Most of it isn't.

[ Though it's strange... Kakashi's suddenly realizing that it doesn't hurt quite as much to move as it did before, and it certainly isn't because of the adrenaline or soldier pills he had been popping. His hand drops down to the deep gash on his abdomen, where Zabuza had sliced through, and presses down tentatively -- fully expecting for pain to ricochet through his frame -- only to... not feel much at all.

Huh.

That's odd.

Confusion visibly flickers over his features, then. ]

[Reaction/Video]

[Oh, wow. Wow. Alright, that guy looks like he's come here right out of the middle of killing or being killed, and all that blood just doesn't look too reassuring. Gilbert almost flails when he sees it, but he manages to calm himself down enough to try and contact the newcomer.]

[ This is strange.

Another face Kakashi doesn't recognize. Certainly not a shinobi. And yet, for an illusion -- why would Madara have illusions be concerned with his well-being? Is this to distract him from breaking out of whatever strange jutsu Madara has cast so that he can return to the battle?

He frowns. ]

[ Many, many hours later. Kakashi seems to have cleaned up considerably. ]

Does blood scare you?

[ He isn't covered in it anymore, though. ]

[The blood is what catches his eye, makes him pay attention to this post. But it's the face (or what he can see of it) that makes his eye widen just a touch. It's been... a while, he's honestly not sure how long, since he's seen that particular face.

After a moment, he decides to say hi, even if the guy didn't say anything. And he looked like hell, in Ginko's opinion. Ginko didn't know him that well, but... well, he still owed him one for the time Kakashi had helped him get to Mizusato.]

Hey. [Tiny pause.] You're bleeding. Might want to get that looked at.

[ This is the third time a strange face and voice has appeared on this little device. Except this time, the stranger looks remarkably... familiar. Silver hair falling over a left eye. Lazy right eye. Kakashi is increasingly wary and uncertain of what this all is supposed to be. But he also does not wish to fall into the trap of wasting time talking to Madara's illusions.

Even if these illusions, for whatever reason, seem to be expressing concern for him. ]

If you think this can distract me, you're sorely mistaken.

[ Kakashi finally says. ]

[Pause, blink. Not... the reaction he'd been expecting. What the hell?]

Uh... excuse me?

You heard me, Madara.

[ This is growing increasingly frustrating -- especially because every attempt to break through the genjutsu has failed. Including usage of Mangekyou Sharingan. ]

[If that is really Kakashi-sensei, then he's saved. If anyone can find a way out of Kannagara it's the great Hatake Kakashi. Not that Naruto would ever call him great to his face. He wouldn't want his sensei's head to get any bigger. But he can't help feeling relieved and excited by the appearance of his sensei.]

OI! Kakashi-sensei! It's me, Naruto! You're favorite student!

[Video] is this video or audio?

[ Kakashi would recognize that voice anywhere. ]

Kakashi-sensei! Can you hear me?

[Naruto yells into the Hitomi and then shakes it.]

Stupid piece of shit.

[The video ends and then suddenly begins again with more curses from the blond.]
