-the hell?
[Video on. The video is drawn away from Kurogane's face, but it's very obvious who it is, if you've met him before. There's a rather puzzled look on his face. Then he looks away, the device falling away and showing the scenery. After a while, the video moves again, showing his face a second time.]
Damn it, where is everyone?!

They're really not so bad, Fai - they just take... some...some...
[For a moment, Yuui can't seem to hold his thought, much less the teasing tone, because in that breath between one word and the next, he can feel it. An absolutely unmistakable presence back in this place, where it'd once disappeared entirely, leaving him feeling off-balance, the sudden spike of pure adrenaline completely unintentional.
His eyes widen, surprise and uncertainty there in their cerulean depths as he stands rooted to the spot, blinking dumbly at his twin.]
...he's back? Kuro-sama's--

Yuui...
[But there really isn't any fighting it, is there? It's true, what was said- they can't both be happy, not for long.]
He's back.

No, he doesn't see it, because he's too busy letting loose a bright laugh before lunging to catch Fai around the waist. And he's still laughing as he sweeps his brother up into a quick half spin before pulling him into a swift hug, forehead resting to forehead.]
C'mon, Fai. Let's go get the big idiot - then we can both give him a good punch to the head for leaving in the first place!

[But it's hard not to smile, when Yuui's so happy. It comes out bitter but it's enough, Fai thinks, that Yuui won't notice.]
Okay, let's go. He might be hurt again...

Hey, Kurogane.
[His tone is amused, definitely so.]
It's good to see you again.
[There's a pause, and then...] No, I'm not the king.

... we've met?

[Touya crosses his arms over his chest and frowns.]
Yes, we've met. I suppose I'll have to wait until it's all explained to you.
[As in, he's not going to do it himself.]

Why can't you tell me?

Help his friend deal with this very man's departure.
His first thought, as he sits there in his room - the one right next to where the one still considered 'Kurogane's room' - in the house that he shares with his friends, is whether he should quietly leave.
But instead, he stares at the screen for long moments, his free hand idly reaching for his scissors and attacking a blanket spread out over the futon he has yet to put away from last night, and considers what to say in greeting.]

Yuui's lover, he reminds himself.]
Welcome back.
[It's doubtful the man will even know who he is, but all he shows the screen is a smile and his strange mismatched eyes.]
I'm afraid you might not know me, but I'll be seeing you soon. I do hope that you decide to stick around this time... my friend was rather torn with your leaving.

Back?! What the hell are you talking about?! I've never been here!
[... right? Right. And who the hell is this guy? And what friend is he talking about? Princess Tomoyo? Soma?]
Reply
Oh.
Well, that's...]
That's going to be strange.

[He's trying to be helpful. A affect that isn't flat and unemotional might help with that, though.]

[RAGE!]

[If Kurogane is very perceptive, he may notice a bit of wistfulness here.]

[Lenalee smiles, though she isn't sure it's the best sentiment to display.]
I'm sorry to see you trapped here again, but... do you remember your last time here?
[It doesn't seem that he does, but she wants to make sure before assuming anything.]

[There's a light sense of irritation in his voice.]

[She takes a moment to rewind and start over with a more formal greeting.]
My name is Lenalee. I didn't know you well before, but we did talk a few times.

... only a few?
