[Alice knew that voice, knew the threat of that voice, and yet...
He was calling for her. Or well, not her of who she is now but maybe more the who she was then - or even the who she isn't. Because she isn't Cheshire's Alice, not at all
( ... )
[That's right - she does know. And more important, she knows something that Cheshire does not: That Vincent, the boy that had killed Cheshire, was here in the form of the man.
And maybe it's not her place, or maybe he'll reject her effort, but even so... even so, Cheshire had been a cherished friend to a part of who she'd been, even if not for own actual self.
So maybe that's why she finds trembling fingers tracing over the Hitomi, to stare with wide violet eyes.]
...Cheshire? When did you get in this place?
[A beat, then:] You can call for 'Alice' all you want, but I'm the only 'Alice' that's here.
Re: [Video]keeperofbellOctober 16 2011, 21:39:26 UTC
[And it was his turn to recognize a familiar voice. The voice that is Alice's, but not "Alice's". But still, Cheshire found himself diverting his attention in finding the source instead of an exit, and eventually peering down at the Hitomi when noticed Alice's face displayed on the screen.]
A-Alice.
[Cheshire didn't even know where to begin. The fact that Alice was inside this weird thing or the fact that she said she was the only Alice here. Or he had tried to kill her. He can't really face her after that. Still, Alice is Alice. And she's talking to him. So he will answer her before figuring things out.]
[It's been some time since Oz has seen this particular face.
So long in fact that he can't help but blink a few times as he tries to actually register that Cheshire is right there, alive on the other end of the hitomi. A moment passes and Oz can't help but visibly hesitate before he chances speaking up, plastering on a smile despite the thoughts running through his head.]
You can't get back home.
We're all kind of stuck here, actually.
[A pause and Oz frowns a bit before he shakes his head, the smile back on his lips in an instant. He could still vaguely remember that beast's large hand grasping his throat; how it had almost killed him if it hadn't been for Jack's interference at the time.]
Re: [Video]keeperofbellOctober 16 2011, 21:49:45 UTC
Y-you!
[Cheshire didn't understand why or how Oz was all small now (not that he wasn't before) but there are much more pressing matters. So he could care less what nonsense he's blabbering about right now.]
The blond guy destroying Cheshire's home! Cheshire has to stop you! Cheshire... Cheshire has to...KI-khhh!
[And for some odd reason, Cheshire found himself unable to release his full killer intent on this boy. He deserves it, doesn't he?!]
Not anything pleasant, mind you. But he does try and keep a straight face the whole time, that smile remaining in place firmly.]
You don't need to worry.
I'm not going to be destroying anything.
[Oz then pauses, choosing his words as carefully as he can manage]
Killing me is out of the question. I... If you killed me, it would make Alice sad, and if you get too angry, there's going to be something that will be stopping you.
[Well here's one possibility he never considered. The Gods seemed to be in quite the mischievous mood today if they brought that mongrel here. Still he saw Alice reply and as such he couldn't just turn a blind eye. The irony of that thought tickled even his humor.]
This isn't heaven if you were expecting to be reunited with your precious little lady~
Re: [Video]redeyeslasherOctober 16 2011, 22:45:04 UTC
[Yes he was convinced by that look on you with the fur standing on end. Not.]
I did? Oh trust me, you stray puss. If bringing you here had been my doing, the place you would be in right now would be far more *pleasant* and painful. After all I didn't get to pay you back in full for that lovely little dream you showed me~
[Well, now, this is certainly interesting. Not a face that he expected to see again, after all. Vincent takes a long look, considering if he wants to reply just to shake thing up, or if he'd rather behave himself...
What is he thinking?
He smiles, settles himself on the edge of the couch in the home that he's (temporarily he claims) sharing with a couple of twin mages, and flicks on the video feed.]
My, my. It seems a certain sweet little pet kitty has wandered in. Are you well, Cheshire?
Re: [Video]keeperofbellOctober 17 2011, 00:49:23 UTC
[Cheshire didn't expect to see Vincent's face again either, or rather he didn't want to.
Of course, at first he didn't recognize this guy. But those mismatched eyes was all too familiar. The eyes that were always twisted and cruel whenever he was mean to his dear Alice, and when he used those scissors to pierce out his...his...!]
[Ginko looks a little surprised at first--and maybe it's no wonder, since he's looking at a guy who is just about his perfect opposite, when it comes to looks. Black hair instead of white, left eye instead of right, red eye rather than green. The cat ears, tail, and rather impressive claws are noted, but he's more interested in their similarities than he is their differences.
After a moment more of staring, his expression goes vague.]
This is Kannagara. You've been pulled here by... by a power.
[He's tired of people not believing him about the Gods.]
Re: [Video]keeperofbellOctober 17 2011, 18:17:59 UTC
[Cheshire doesn't really take notice of those trivial things. He's more curious about who was this stranger that popped into the screen.
Have him stare back at you momentarily as well and maybe a sniff at the screen.]
Human?
[Strange, he can't seem to get the familiar human scent. But even stranger were the words that the guy was saying. It was similar to what Alice told him though.]
Cheshire doesn't know what you are talking about. Cheshire can't be pulled anywhere Cheshire doesn't want to go.

Cheshire...Cheshire just woke up here.

[She shrugs at that and frowned before waving off to the side.]
Gods took us from Oz's world and brought us here - so your place and the Abyss, they can't reach us here.
[And then she grins, the curve of her lips almost superior, knowing, for a moment.]
Cheshire has to behave there! If you get angry, the tree will stop you from losing your temper~
[Trust her, she knows. She's tried it before.]

What did you do to Cheshire?! Where did trap Cheshire in?!

Liar! Liar! Cheshire knows you did something! Cheshire ended up here after you... after you...!
[Cheshire grits his teeth angrily. He didn't want to say it. He was afraid to say it. There's no way he could have "lost". Ignoring that thought now.]
And don't blame Cheshire for your stupidity! That was your own fault! Cheshire only wanted B-Rabbit! Cheshire didn't want to take you!

[Slight eyebrow raise at the sniffing, but he's met people who have done stranger things before.]
I take it you're Cheshire? And I'm afraid you can be, since you have. Unless you wanted to come here.
[It's a possibility, though he's never encountered someone who wanted to come to Kannagara.]

[Tilts his head questioningly.]
Cheshire doesn't know where this is. Cheshire can't have wanted to come here.
