[A little later, once the memories had run their course, the dream plays for a third time. And this time, he can focus properly on this new 'Yoite'. He can see the doubt and confusion, the almost despiration for answers to questions he doesn't know how to voice and he realized he's at another crossroads.
He's facing yet another choice on the path with no return.
He can leave this boy to stumble in the dark, fumble in his own awkward way to find those answers he's searching for, or he can start this battle over.
Is he really willing to fight Yoite so hard again, just to be his friend?
Is he really willing to put himself out there and open his heart to this immature brat, knowing full and well that he might never even accept the place he's being offered?
In truth, there was never really any questions at all.]

It doesn't take much thought to discern that this man might be the only one with the actual answer as to why. How strange it is to find that just the day before he wanted nothing to do with this man, but now he had no choice but to seek him out.
Though...perhaps its not seeking them out if they present themselves to you.]
[It is while Miharu is sleeping that he begins to dream. It's like any other, nothing to think about, at first, as he watches Yoite wake. It's weird and uncomfortable, however, how when he calls out for Yoite and moves towards him, there is no reaction. It stings, bad, but he shakes it off and when Yoite moves, he follows.
Because no matter what, no matter where Yoite goes, he will always be with him, until he's really rejected. But he... he would never be rejected, would he? No. No, never.
Not from someone he's so important to, and he knows he is, like Gau and Raikou said back then, back when there was so much pain. That he brought light into Yoite's eyes

[When Miharu wakes, he has the Hitomi in his hand, in time to see Yoite leave the house. And abruptly, he's on his feet, padding out with bare feet and only a shirt and too big, as always, long-sleeved shirt. Now he knows that it was Yoite's dream, and his throat feels thick as he hurries to make sure Yoite doesn't escape him, breaks off into a run with the Hitomi stuck in his hand.
But it doesn't matter. All that matters is catching up to Yoite and he stumbles through the entrance, struggling to breathe through that thickness.]
[Yoite is only a few paces from the steps, staring upwards at the sky before slowly turning to blink at Miharu. It wasn't the yelling that got his attention, as by now his hearing was mostly gone, but instead that strong, almost overpowering presence of Miharu that Yoite already knows so well.
Miharu stops rather abruptly as he sees Yoite hasn't moved far and blinks, caught a little off-guard. But after gathering himself a little, he shakes his head lightly and steps over to Yoite, frowning up at him with a hint of concern.]
[This boy again. His dreams are just as confusing as he is, really. Is this why he doesn't know who he really is? Did he throw away his memories too? Alice isn't really sure, but she's going to ask regardless.]
Did you throw away your memories too, or did something take them from you, boy?
[Perhaps she's a touch louder than she'd intended, but really! This boy - he understands less than she does and that's something that just takes effort.
She waves a hand, as if to emphasize and continues just as loudly:]
Memories tell us who we were so we can understand who we are! Don't you even know that?
