[This is the man that talked to him in the hiromogi when he first arrived here. He hadn't talked to him since, but the white hair, green eyes are distinctive. He watches the dream, feeling as always as a voyeur, but he pushes that thought back, and just watches. The dream hurts, an ache deep in his chest and Jason shies away from the similarities he feels. He sighs and scrubs a hand across his face, peering between his fingers.]
Yeah, I did. [Ignoring the dream for now.] Nothing like randomly being jerked around. This place seems to like to do that.
[He grunts, glad that this guy is ignoring the dream that he's (fairly) sure was just broadcast. He'll check the Hitomi later--or someone else will mention it, he's sure.]
Glad I'm not the only one. [A quiet snort at that, and doesn't bother to hide the faintly sarcastic tone in his voice.] The Gods need some kind of entertainment. Guess we serve pretty well.
Makes you wonder about the supposed reason we're brought here in the first place. [He takes a drag on his cigarette, letting out the breath and the smoke slowly.] Oh, I don't know. I'm almost tempted to give them points for originality for that one.
[Hughes is still learning the ins and outs of this device when Ginko's dream suddenly begins to play, not that he realizes it is a dream, yet.
He feels...somewhat overwhelmed as it plays, almost as if he were drawn into the broadcast itself. It's a sensation like he's never felt before, and by the time it's over, Hughes has to wonder just what he has seen.
There is also the sense that whatever it is, he should not have seen it. It seemed...personal? And likely that whoever was broadcasting it had not intended to.
While Hughes is trying to think of how best to bring it to this man's attention, however, the man speaks up again, intentionally this time. And the words just manage to confuse him more than this place already has.]
...Edo? I was told it was called Kannagara.
[He's wearing his military uniform again himself, and Hughes would probably be wondering how that happened if it wasn't trivial compared to everything else that didn't make sense right now
( ... )
[Ginko blows out a puff of smoke--a new face. And apparently someone who was brought in during that strange worldshift.]
It is. But the Gods of this place seem to enjoy playing with us, and that city we were in was Edo. Now we're back in Kannagara again. [He realizes they never really left, especially with the way the Natives were integrated into Edo, but it seems easier to describe it that way.
He looks vaguely resigned at that. At least it wasn't as bad as the first dream this place chose to show people, at least in part because it has happened before... but it seems like more people have seen this dream.]

[Gau laughs a little, then shakes his head.]
Did you think it was just you?
[He doesn't know what to say about the dream, honestly. There's just... there isn't a lot he can say. But...]
It seems we're all travelers here, now.

Maybe. It was pretty similar to my world.
...getting hard to tell dreams from reality, sometimes.

[Gau frowns, shakes his head a little.]
I suppose that wouldn't be very nice, would it? Were you sad when you realized you weren't home, Ginko?

After a moment of thought, he mutters,] No. It wasn't that kind of...
I don't really have a home, you know. [Evasion....]

Yeah. [A quiet sigh.] They do that, too.
