[Sakura isn't sure why she's asking but maybe because she knows what it feels like when you ask for someone and get no answers. Or those people that you ask around you, in the streets and the shops, don't give you answers. When no one can.]
Not that long ago, probably yesterday. But Ryuzaki wasn't here when Misa woke up, and Misa thought maybe Ryuzaki was hungry and went to the bakery early, but Ryuzaki wasn't there either!
[He never really liked that man too much since he was always around making things more difficult at work; now that Miss Misa addresses the problem though, he can't help but feel a little worried.]
...Now that you mention it... I don't think he's skipped a few shifts in a row.
[Pause. With everything that is going on right now... Not good.]
[Then again, he does have experience with people following him. And yeah, going a week without receiving a buquet of roses from Vincent would mean he's probably dead. Really, it makes sense.]
Strange. He didn't mention anything at all?
[If he hadn't gone on some trip of inner discovery, it has to mean he was either sent home, or... killed...]
[Of course she would be worried. Not having L in her constant view is to her what L losing track of Misa would be to him. He could be anywhere, and she could be fucked.
If she knows L at all, (which Mello doubts), she knows that for him to just up and abandon something he's been keeping such a close eye on is either a lucky shot on her part, or the beginning of her end.]
[Misa purses her lips at the audio message. Maybe she should be. But mostly it just makes her uncomfortable and feel left in the dark.]
Well, Misa is happy not to be stalked, but Misa isn't happy that Ryuzaki is missing! Misa is going to punch Ryuzaki if he found a way home and left without Misa!

You think he'd be stupid enough to leave you here if he had a choice?
[Because with someone as simple as Amane, it would be easier to keep her in the equation and hope she slip up, rather than removing her from it, altogether.]

No, Misa and Ryuzaki work together. Besides, Ryuzaki always follows Misa around. Misa hasn't had a single second to herself since he got here!

You should be glad for it, yeah?
[No, that's not bitterness in his tone, at all.]

[Grumble.]
Who are you anyway? One of Ryuzaki's friends?
[Pause.]
