[ The video flickers at first, as though it's still expelling the effort in waves to try and recognize the user that's currently holding the Hitomi. All that's seen is the brief flash of
a bracelet before the feed cuts out and switches, the display much more clear this time; a dream. ]

Hello there, Bird-chan. I take it your owner isn't very friendly, hmm?
[ Of course not, judging by what he saw in that dream. ]

Which Hibari will have none of. Which means he'll be snatching the Hitomi up from in front of the bird and fixing Kakashi with a rather disinterested glare. ]
What do you want?

What he finds though, he's not sure how to feel. Part of him says to just put it back down, don't even say anything at all. It's not worth it, it's just a waste of time. Pretend like he didn't see anything, like nothing ever happened. If he's sought out, then he can deal with it then. Until that time though, if it even happens, it really shouldn't be his problem. Master and Chrome-san and Sawada would take care of it. Probably the others too. He doesn't need to do anything himself. ]

Fran doesn't like thinking things. He believes in luck, probably more than anyone else. Which is why he flicks the video on his Hitomi to respond. ]
Welcome back, Hibari-san.
[ Just as deadpanned and emotionless as ever, nothing's really changed. ]

Hibari lingers over the video, over voice, then text. Debates on ignoring it all together until a later time when he wasn't so damn angry over being stuck there again. But if he didn't answer now, he probably never will. He knows this. And, in the end, he simply settles himself onto the branch of a tree not far from the clearing, leaning back in it while Hibird flies off. Perhaps to greet Chrome, give a warning. ]

How long has it been. [ Because time flows quite differently here, doesn't it? ]

Hibari-san.
[ Her expression is carefully guarded, even after witnessing everything in those dreams. Memories. Some pleasant. Some terrible. All intense. All strongly remembered. ]
... your bird.

Traitorous little bird.
Even so, Hibari turns the video on, disinterested, glancing at Hibird first before back to Chrome. He's reminded almost immediately of why he detests this place so much; an invasion of personal privacy and giving insight in his life to those who do not need it.
There's a pause in which he debates on just turning the feed off until Hibird returns, but- ]
What of it?

... I thought I should return him.
[ Surprising, to see Hibari again? Not entirely so. Chrome had thought he might return. She... she missed the man, though. Improbably.
(And she will not say so aloud, for numerous reasons, not the least of which being that Hibari does not accept sentimentality, and speaking with him is always an exercise in choosing one's words.)
They have unfinished business, though. Don't they?
She heard, eventually, about what Hibari did just prior to disappearing.
And she knows he knows what happened to her, too. ]
I will.

I tried to free him?
Things are too complicated?
Who would release someone that single-handedly destroyed an entire mafia family and wants to take the world apart.
Hibari's not sure why he's doing it -- won't answer anyone that has asked. For none of them have been the right person. He answers to no one but himself, unless he chooses differently, which he so rarely does.
He does a playback from the end of his dream; what he had been doing only a few days prior to returning. He narrows his eyes in irritation, from both the fact that information was shared and, also, that he's even making an attempt to remove that man from prison.
It's a reminder that, if they could stop attempting to kill each other constantly, along with Chrome, the three of them could conquer everything and leave nothing but destruction in their ( ... )

But really; is it even hard to guess where Hibari would go first? ]
I don't care.
[ And- He doesn't, really. He's more focused, at the moment, on returning home. Or at least satisfying the building rage at being stuck in this damn cage again. ]

That's Vongola's problem.
[ Because, technically, it is. And Hibari, ever faithful, counts himself part of the Foundation first. Despite mentions of the Vongola previously. Because it's useful, at times, to be a member of the mafia, isn't it?
But only when it's convenient or necessary.
Although he has always been rather curious about the power levels of Byakuran, ever since his past self had been brought to the future to rectify the mistakes that so many people in the Vongola had made. ]

Ah, and Fran.
Well.
Byakuran wipes tears away from his eyes and digests what he's seen. So Hibari has been here before; he'd gathered as much through Chrome's dream. It's still interesting to see things from Hibari's perspective, however. He contemplates leaving this as it is; it could cause him annoying future consequences if he pushes Hibari the wrong way.]

It doesn't last long before Byakuran snickers.]

But he isn't, so Hibari has to tolerate it -- momentarily -- until he can actually find the man and tear him apart.
It's not a matter of winning or losing, or revenge for fights that happened too long ago. It's not to assert his power or his strength or show what he is capable of now.
Actually, it's rather simple. It's revenge. For a Namimori that he lost; the destruction of territory that had been his own. For the injuries and damaged pride. It's for many things that all need avenging, and hasn't Hibari always been the perfect person for this?
The anger spreads through him, can feel it in every muscle, every tendon, every bone. His joints lock and bones grind because he's prepared and all he's heard is laughter and a ( ... )
