[ The feed clicks on with the Hitomi apparently propped up on a table or the like, catching a clear view of a white-haired older teen who seems to be peering at the recording for a second, making sure it's lined up properly. He sits back after the confirmation, smiling pleasantly in a way that makes the scar over the left side of his face twist a

You bring up very good points, Allen. I'm completely with you. It's about time we really organize ourselves in some way -- I think that's what should come before any other measures, in fact.
I'd be willing to take over the greeting new people thing. I have been here for a while, after all -- though not as long as some others. [Kakashi and Iruka come to mind.]

[ Now you're the one to get an audible sparkle. He had you in mind when mulling this over, after your last message about collecting notes on creatures in Kannagara. ]
That's great! [ Take over? He'd gladly let you; he likes keeping his hands busy and doing this sort of thing, but... beyond that? Not quite his forte unless no one else will or can. He's a great footsoldier and Opinionated Person, not the kind to really organize... at least not yet. ] I think you'd be good at it.
That's what I was thinking, too. Whatever direction we decide to go in... new people can arrive at any time, so it seems important we at least be organized enough to take care of them and get them situated.

Ah, thanks!
Mh, for that, and also for other stuff -- for bettering our lives in the long run. I think efforts like that whole slave trading business could also potentially get much more effective like that.

He pauses for a moment though---the slave trade. ]
Effective? What do you mean?

But Yomisato.... 'Yomisato' does give him pause. It is not his preferred place at all, den of corruption that it is, but he does have to understand its more friendly nature to "other-worlders" as they are called and tribute made the issue confusing for a lot of people. To be honest, most of his income at the moment comes from playing less-than-honest games of sleight-of-hand chance there, so...
So he can't pass judgment, but it does give him pause. He smiles for the reply though, because it is still an offer, a kind one, but... he'll probably want to make sure he visits in person. ]
No, that's fine. That would be wonderful. I'm sure having rooms places beyond the inn in Hisato would be helpful for everyone. [ Curios peer, if still with a genuine hint of a smile ( ... )

If this is going to work for all of them then he has to trust them when they say they can take care of themselves or others, doesn't he? It's not easy and goes against so many instincts. ]
It's nice to meet you then... Sawada, is it?
[ Pause. It's a little casual, but something that feels more right in how he addresses people, and Allen smiles. It is going out a little, trusting like that, but... he thinks he can. ]
And text would be excellent, thank you.

[Fox grins brightly, puffing up with a bit of pride. She's working hard to establish good PR for herself, even if she does find it more entertaining to work with the more...'volatile' element. Especially as she finds it so. She'll need to do a lot of good works to keep her reputation even, but she doesn't mind that. She doesn't just do anything she pleases for the evulz, after all.
In fact, and it's with a twist of her smile into a more wry smirk here, she realises that she'd make a brilliant hero if good works didn't get so mind-jarringly dull. She even had been a hero, albeit only on TV, and while it had been a means to an end, it hadn't actually been that bad. Just...dull.
Here, here it was different. Here, being a hero was everything it was in a TV show, not just a nine to five job. There were caravans and people to guard, bandits to round up...why, she could actually do good for the inherent excitement good of it and not need to use it ( ... )

[ He's smiling, this beyond-his-years teenager that well, is still a teen. Because... he does realize there's... something maybe about her he should keep his eyes on; her sudden opinions and bluntness off the bat that's sets him a little back on mental heel. It's not a bad thing, but one that makes him frown a bit himself and go---your intentions are the right ones... right? He keeps getting a little pinged the opposite way, but... it's just a gut twinge, nothing else. ]
I wouldn't say I'm starting organizing it, but I do want to make sure it happens. A friend of mine and I have talked about this kind of thing before and she might be . But that's great!
We'll certainly need physically-able people to guide those who need it safely to a village. [ Oh dubious. So dubious, but not at all like he wants to slight her abilities... because... who he he to judge, but... are you... battle, really...? ] That's---okay with you? Some of these creatures on the road---they can have powers---

[She all but strikes a pose at that, definitely showing off and apparently not shy about that. Of course...she does have a figure that doesn't exactly scream 'fighter'. She smirks, though, utterly proud of herself when it comes to some things, at least.]
Ever seen a gargoyle, kid?
[Sure, they were allies now, but that didn't change the fact that she'd personally tangled with them before.]

A gargoyle? [ Helpful, if nervous and not really helpful smile. Why is she talking about gargoyles? ] Like the statues? Of course.

[Those few moments, however, are enough for him to decide that he's not interested, so he flicks the Hitomi off and just remains sitting there for a little more as he can distantly hear a little of Beansprout's voice from the other part of the house before heading further away into the household to continue with his morning routine.]
[See how much he cares about kids dying? Look at it. Marvel.]

[It could use a bit more enthusiasm, but Amelia has learned to accept that not everyone could quite match the enthusiasm of the Saillune royal family.]
Of course I want to help you! I know the way from Himorogi, and I can fight off most of the monsters around here. Or bandits. And if anyone comes in hurt, I can heal them.
[And, while she was still not steadily employed and owning her own space, manpower was about all she could provide.]

Amelia! I'm glad. Your healing powers would be especially helpful.
[ He'd inquire a bit more, worried to make sure she is alright and does she really want the job of escorting---but he has seen her in action a bit, her healing would be extremely useful, and... she had been a guard like he had been. So it's that instinctual pause, the really, that's alright?, but far be it from him to turn away someone eager, able, and willing. ... Usually. Depending. ]
I was thinking it might be good if we make sure someone comfortable with explaining a... a lot of the things that people need to know about this place is there as well. Do you want to... ah, patrol I guess - for lack of a better word - by yourself or is there someone you'd like to partner with-?
[ Polite laugh, a smile. ] I mean, you've been here longer than I have even, I just thought I'd ask first.
