[Week 13] [Day 4] [Accidental Video]
[The broadcast starts not with an image, but with a scream, soon followed by a bellowing roar. The Hitomi clicks on to see a man with a dark marking on his forehead, swiping some kind of sword at a silverback gorilla that is huge even on gorilla terms. The man falls, but not before delivering a severe cut on the gorilla's arm. If it were any normal gorilla, it might be enough to scare it away.
But this is no ordinary gorilla.
The gorilla punches the man straight into the gut, causing him to fly. He lands on the ground, in sideways view of the Hitomi. A cinder block-sized fight tightens the man's hold on the sword and twisted, forcing the man to let go of his weapon. The beast lowers its head close to the man's face, teeth bared and showing impressive canines. Several seconds has past, and the man's eyes widen. He says,]
You can talk?
[To the viewer of the Hitomi, one might think the man is crazy, because several seconds later, the man says:]
W-what? There's no law against that -
[One can only guess what the man was about to say when the gorilla socked him square in the jaw. The poacher can only give out a moan and cradles his jaw.]
Listen, it's not like I can go out and get Hork-Bajir!
[There's another much longer silence, but this time it's clearly tense. The gorilla puts a tight fist next to the man's head: a warning. Suddenly the man twitches as though being yelled at by a superior.]
It's the blades! The blades they - they are worth loads! 30 ryo for each blade! Parties go out take one down, it's worth hundreds! They are used on the living sacrifices in the temples.
[Another moment has passed - it's clearly evident that the gorilla is now, in lack of better words, enraged. It raises its fist and punches the man again, this time knocking him out. The gorilla looks around, as though trying to make sure it wasn't being caught. Its eyes breifly leveled at the Hitomi, and there is something uncanny in the gorilla's eyes.
The gorilla steps out of the Hitomi's view and after a few minutes, the feed is cut.]
