[ The video goes on awkwardly: it is falling and a soft cloud of dust fills up the screen as it settles into the earth. Green things poke up in the corners of the screen, and in the distance are two men. One of them has silver hair sticking up in an awkward puff over a headband that covers one eye, the other is dignified, a sleek black river down

What?
WHAT?!
For Rukia, there's entirely too many things wrong with this conversation. For one, Byakuya is talking way too much. He never conversed this much with her. Two, it's obvious that her brother-in-law is showing signs of affection for this white haired male. Signs of affection. The male part doesn't worry her as much as it should (there were things like that in Rukongai too), but this is her brother she's talking about. The affection and male part just-- and Byakuya's pride--. Three, the biggest problem, why is her stoic, 'never show any emotion' brother, showing emotions and affection? Yes, the question of why comes in now. Byakuya is nearly not this kind... not even to her. There's a very very VERY small ping of jealousy that runs through her.]

'I will need something for muscle aches and possibly a mild sedative. It seems battle has left its impression.'
And Rukia knows they're herb picking. She had experience in doing that. It wasn't much. But sometimes when one got caught from stealing, one had to pay the price somehow, especially when in the cold hearts of the shop keepers, they had something against hitting little girls, even if they were brats.]
Nii-sama...
[He was out there for her.
...she became a bother.
Of course, if Byakuya were to be asked about this, he would say he didn't mind and it was his responsibility. But to Rukia, it was definitely not seen in that light.]

'I will need something for muscle aches and possibly a mild sedative. It seems battle has left its impression. What was he talking about? Rukia thought back to the day before she was brought here. Her, Renji, and Chad were ( ... )

Rukia realized the one thing that she didn't want happen.
Byakuya had saw the dream. But why didn't he-- Of course, he wouldn't have said anything. Even the effects of her dreams, she--
She puts down the Hitomi and shuffles back under the covers. Even though her body was rested in some sense, she felt mentally worse.]

That is what Sasuke is thinking. He is thinking that very calmly, very loudly, so loud that he can barely hear himself also thinking other things - obviously now I have to kill him / wait which one / both of them you bastards bastards bastards bastards - which he should not rightly be thinking. He is not - how could you, with some fucking foreign bastard you don't even know, you bastard bastard bastard - thinking those things. It's not - he's not. He doesn't care, doesn't care, does not care.
He should have nipped this in the bud. Somehow. Stopped this early on, this thing with Kakashi. Right from the moment he saw him this morning, he should have. Just - cut it off. How? Told him to fuck off. Told him he hated him and never wanted to see him again and believed it. FUCKING KILLED HIM. That is the obvious solution. He deserves it, absolutely, objectively, in pure black and white terms deserves to die. Kakashi is the enemy. Kakashi is from Konoha, Konoha is the enemy, Kakashi is the enemy. Kakashi is a liar in every ( ... )

But the more he stares at the screen, the more he thinks about it and how Kakashi reacted earlier ... this gives him more drive to just get a yes or a no.
And he will have it.
Because the thought that comes right after he thinks, what if it's all over is:
I will not interfere.
Iruka puts the Hitomi away; he doesn't need it. He can replay everything in his mind anyway.]
