[Marco understands the need to ask because its something nobody really knows.]

There's no real definite time limit on how long you can be dead. It can be a day, to a week, to maybe even a month before you'll come back.

Or you might not come back at all.

[A pause.]

I don't know this Allen guy. Not really. So I can't say that I'm sorry about what happened to him. But what I can say that it shouldn't have happened at all.

[Another part of her hope breaks at that. There wasn't much to begin with.]

Have there been many people that never came back?

[She asks it quietly, and can't find the energy to even be mad at the boy because frankly, she didn't care much that he died or came back either. And beyond that, she's just tired.]

Far as I cab tell the dead I saw came back, though the time of the arrival varies.

[Marco thinks back to Rin, how he doesn't know when she came back until she approached him in an empty street of Hisato.]

Though there's been instances where people sort of withdrawn from the network after they came back. Sometimes, to some, the trauma takes time for them to recover. Your friend Allen - he's probably revived, but is too messed up to reply to anything on the network.

[The screen is a little shaky as Dre holds it with hesitant hands. He knows how touchy this subject is, he too is still jumpy about it, but he can see just how much all of this has weighed on Lenalee. All the pain he can see in her.

[For a moment Lenalee just stares at him, taken by surprise. Dre... She's really been no help to him at all, has she? It's not his place to have to cheer her up when she's supposed to be looking after him, and failed miserably at that.]

[Kanda watches the video silently, and he's pretty much torn on whether to say something or not, and what. Lenalee looks very sad, and yes he can notice the way she clenches her hands and he knows it means the outer calmness is fake and he doesn't want to unintentionally say something that might break that. But at the same time, he can't help but feel so damn right about what he had told her recently, that Beansprout can't be trusted and that he will hurt her.]

[Hell, maybe he decided to stay with his new gray-skinned friends, that dirty cheat of a traitor.]

[And yet again, even if he's far from what can be called considerate or subtle, he feels that a massive 'I TOLD YOU SO' might not be fit for the situation.]

[And he simply doesn't know how to be dishonest. He can simply not mention things, but he won't say something if he thinks otherwise.]

[But he wants to try giving her a word. Maybe it will help more than his.. er.. freaking out recently, so embarrassing.]

[He ponders for a moment, trying to recall anything that might do with this, and a certain quarrel with a Goddess comes to mind, the same one he didn't manage to reach too successfully, gah.]

[He smiles at the screen reassuringly.]

Well, unless you somehow upset the gods who are responsible for bringing people back, I really don't think anything could go wrong, Miss, especially not in any cruel way like getting stuck between dimensions or having your parts split between them, that's a rather unpleasant thing, aye, but it really, gramatically and definitely wouldn't fall upon the obedient.~

I doubt that that happened.

[Really too concerned with the "is he coming back?" right now to give much thought to possibilities like that. While she can't tell if he's trying to make fun of her or genuinely that stupid... she doesn't really care.]

[Were it anyone else Heine would probably overlook this video. Hell he's been doing that for all the new arrivals especially that cheerful blond girl.]

[Stil. he admits he's surprised about the whole return from the dead thing. While he did hear of it in passing, he had no proof of it at the time. Now he has all the proof he wants. Still the fact that the kid isn't back yet...he can't help but get a bad feeling in his stomach]

Have you tried checking the tree?

[She's a little surprised to see him, with how long it's been since they've talked.]

Only once.

[But that had been quite a while ago, and more out of a need to do something than actually expecting him to be there. Perhaps she's relying too much on the Hitomi, but it showed Gau and Marco's returns. Why wouldn't it show Allen's?]

I suppose I could check again, that is where people seem to appear.
