[Accidental video] Week 10, Day 4
[... Alright, what the hell. One moment Winry is tinkering around with some spare parts in the basement, unable to sleep thanks to Ed’s surprise visit and subsequent departure. She put down a screw, mind more on whatever this “Promised Day” really is than where she stashed the smallest flatheaded screwdriver. And then she is sitting in a grassy field, propped up against a giant tree and surrounded by flowers with the sun beating down on her. Again, the hell? How does that even happen?]
Um... hello?
[Seems like a good place to start, but after a quick glance to her right and left Winry confirms that no one seems to be in sight. There are plusses and minuses to that, but mostly minuses, because what the hell. Okay, this is not good. Taking inventory. There is a giant tree, it is suddenly daytime when the sun shouldn’t be rising for another three hours or so, and this is most certainly nowhere in Resembool that she recognizes. Is she halfway around the world or something? How? While her first guess is “alchemy gone awry,” she has never heard of someone suddenly being transported from one place to the next without any obvious wounds or other issues.]
[And she did not happen to be holding any useful tools when the switch occurred, so the less than half-completed automail leg-like object in her hand is now her only defense. Joy. Maybe she can bludgeon someone with it, should the need arise. Winry had kind of hoped that after finally getting home, she would have at least a little down time before crazy shit started happening again. What did Ed screw up this time?]
[This has to be about him, right? And the Promised Day. She’s surprised that it happened so quickly, and… well, she’s surprised about pretty much everything that’s going on right now. But clearly she is somehow going to be involved in all this, despite Ed’s warnings to stay home. Winry frowns, and gets to her feet. Well, whoever did this is going to get a very violent lesson in why you do not mess with Rockbell women.]
[A glance down as something seems to fall out of her lap at the movement. What...? She bends down until her face is inches away from the object (have a close up of her eyes and bangs, Kannagara). Some sort of mechanical device, but not something she's ever seen before. A thrill of excitement at that realization as she grabs it and plops back down, turning it every which way (putting any epileptic denizens of Kannagara at high risk). There are characters on the back that look like something from Xing, but she's never heard of something like- why is it displaying her face? She moves it around experimentally. Is it... taking a video? But it's so tiny, and no film or crank or-!]
[There is an excited squeal of delight and the sound of many buttons being pressed before the video cuts off.]
