[The Hitomi is propped up against the wall of a building, and Ed appears on the screen, looking somewhere halfway between disgruntled, annoyed, and simply bored.]

[Someone went to a marketplace today and got stared at strangely (and poked, don't forget the poking) when he tried to buy some food.]
I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that we probably need money to survive here, even besides that tribute shit, so here's the deal.
Does anyone have anything they need fixed? Any broken jewelry or pottery or whatever that you don't want to throw away? I can do it as long as you still have all the pieces.
[And just to prove that he can do as he says, Ed picks up a clay pot from somewhere offscreen (it's...best not to ask how he got it with no money and without stealing), and allows it to smash against the ground. He then claps his hands and presses them against the ground, where the broken pieces come together in a flash of blue light, and he picks the once again whole pot up from the ground.]
See? Good as new!
