[Gau's eyes light up, and he bounces a little.]

[Matt grins, and yeah, this is probably abusing morphing abilities, but it's better than Gau wandering around looking for one with all its predator's instincts at full force.]

[Matt gives the closest he ever comes to a smug grin.]
Hang on.
[He backs away from Hitomi so he can strip off his clothes, except for the biking shorts that are the only thing he can morph. Then he concentrates, sees for a second the tracery of stripes on his skin that always seem to be the first thing to appear.
He's done this often enough by now that it's relatively easy, and in a few moments, he's a tiger, nosing at the Hitomi where he dropped it.]

[Though the tiger brain does find it a bit odd to be talking to someone on a device that has no real smell.]

[Elfangor isn't as careful with the morphing cube as he ought to be, and Matt suspects he wavers between embarrassment about this and a certain kind of pride at being able to give people here the ability to fight, if it's something they don't inherently have. But he's still tiny right now, and it's not something Matt would make a call on without him.
Still, he sucks at lying, and knows it, so he doesn't try to put Gau off with half an answer.]
< People can get the ability, yeah. I didn't start out with it. But. Aw, man, this is gonna sound so lame. It's the kind of decision a grownup ought to make. Sorry. >

Well, Raikou-san says I should be big again any day now though! So that means that I can definitely learn all about it from you, right?
[He bounces a little, way more excited than before.]
I'll get big right now!
[And he closes his eyes, stands up on his tiptoes, stretches toward the sky, as if it should make it happen.
Of course, nothing happens.
Cue the pout and the slow slow opening of green eyes.]
