[Week 19 | Day 5] Video

Mar 01, 2011 21:50

Hey!

[Yamamoto greets, with a flick of a hand that is a half gesture for greeting and half gesture that says, this is going to be quick.]

Gokudera and I are going to be open by the end of the week, and we're going to need waiters or waitresses to train and employ. To work here, of course!

Hey, that's pretty snazzy.

Um. I need a job. I can carry shit!

[He's a hacker in a world without computers. Yet. What else can he do?]

Carrying is great! Always great! Think you'll be able to carry trays and not break cups on said trays~? Balance is very important!

[Waiters. They need them.]

I think I can handle that. [He grins.]

Are you gonna have Turkish coffee and hookahs and all?

[Now here's a big, big grin.]

Definitely! Hookah is our specialty. Not sure about the turkish coffee, but if we can get the blend and taste right, it'll be on the menu.

[Seems like this guy knows his stuff.]

[If it involves tobacco or inadvisable amounts of caffeine, Matt knows it.]

So, should I, like, come by sometime or something?

[He's never actually had a job he applied for.]

If you want to come and see the place for yourself, you're more than welcome to drop by. I'll give you a run through over here though.

[Yamamoto will give main points, raising a finger to tick each point off.]

Manas will most likely be more of a night establishment and we'll be serving, as you can already guess, coffee and hookah and liquor. We also offer accommodations for newcomers and to our employees if they don't already have a place to stay here in Kannagara. Because we are just starting off, wage is at a minimum level but we do believe that it will change with time as profits start to roll in. Food is not really an issue, we all share around here, so if you are an employee and you choose to take the accommodations we do provide, that's covered. Ah! But we won't let you starve of course, while working for us even if you don't live with us~

[Yamamoto laughs, in good humor. But that's all his cards on the table.]

We will open soon, probably around next week, post training. Your call~

'kay. I don't have any income at all right now, man.

[Unless he wants to go hunting, which he doesn't. He's gonna need disposable income if he wants to get this project, still a vague idea in his mind, off the ground. If it works, he could hook up the café first, call it a lure for customers or something.]

But I do have a place to stay. So I guess, lemme know when you have a date for training?

[Jobs, are they really this easy?]

[It's that easy because Yamamoto and Gokudera aren't picky with things. Gokudera is the type of person who is willing to teach people till they perform their duties to a satisfying level of perfection. Yamamoto believes people are capable of reaching perfection if they're motivated enough, which is why he isn't so hard on them -- unless he needs to be.]

Will do. We'll likely start tomorrow. Can I ask which village you're staying in? Or are you here in Yomisato too?

I'm in Yomisato too.

Tomorrow... morning?

[He sounds a little hesitant, as if the concept might be slightly unfamiliar. 2 AM is Matt's friend. 10 or 11 AM? Not so much.]

I'll be here till three PM! Feel free to show up anytime before that! Just come right in, okay? If you don't find me, come around the back to the kitchen!

[Yamamoto, unfortunately, gets up at dawn. Daily. Without fail when he's got nothing to do. Old habits die hard, but well~ There's something to look forward to! This guy seems okay.]
