There's something I don't get about Amazon.co.jp's policy concerning the sale of some items to foreign countries (or at least to France). I already posted some days ago on the topic.
Here's more details:

I wanted to buy "Omerta", a new yaoi game by Karin (warning, on the "graphic" page, there's adult content). It's the same publisher as Anima Read more... )

motoni modoru, amazon, yaoi, video games

Argh, that sounds so frustrating!

I don't know what is up with all the weird anti-yaoi laws suddenly. Canada is apparently now not only confiscating yaoi but any manga at the border, citing anti-child pornography laws.

I mean...manga covers a WIDE variety of genres. It's like banning all magazines in case they are pornographic.

I heard that some countries were rest'tricting manga. I am a member of the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund and I was reading about a case of a man that had been stopped at the Canadian customs for having manga. They cited child pornography and confiscated the books plus his iphone and laptop, this is not an isolated case apparently. I am finding it harder and harder to get certain manga here as well like Detroit Metal City which is a hilarious series and even though is it adult it's not that bad. It's ridiculious to try and ban manga it covers such a wide range from kids right through to adults.
