All have to screen the appeal, or none will. The Gaza appeal, due to be launched on Monday, had the BBC block permission to screen it, citing impartiality concerns.

Given how huge the public outcry has been, ITV, Channel 4 and Channel 5 have agreed to screen the Gaza DEC appeal, but the BBC is still worried that it would bias their coverage of the conflict to show pictures of injured/killed civilians.

I just - there are no words. The only consolation is that, in denying the appeal airtime, sufficient protests and outcry have been generated to actually raise its profile more so than it otherwise would have been.
