I'm so glad you liked the Albus Severus naming - by now, I've seen people calling it trite, but I adored it. It was the perfect shorthand to make it clear to the readers how much Harry respected Snape not just in the immediate aftermath of Snape's death but for the rest of his life.

In saying that Severus Snape was the bravest man he'd ever known - and for going to Snape when he was dying, before he knew that he was a good guy!!I loved both of this, and yes, the later is very important - Harry ended HBP vowing revenge, but when he actually sees Snape die, he feels very differently BEFORE knowing the truth ( ... )

It's not trite, IT'S TOUCHING!! *stomps* Seriously, what was he supposed to do to pay the man tribute instead?

A lot of people seem really pissed off at harry, and I totally don't get it. I mean, this book was him growing up emotionally, and him going to Snape was basically the most obvious example of this. He's stopped being a whining child, he's actually become rather thoughtful. *loves Harry*

Snape and Lily: unrequited pining from afar would have been a cliché, but her being his best friend through it all until he loses her made all the difference, because that means there is a real relationship (as in: mutual) there.Exactly. I was really worried that it was going to be - no other way of saying it - rather pathetic. You know, he loved her ( ... )
