1. The echocardiagram went well. There were some initial blips (and, also, the jelly was cold and icky) that made the attending frown a lot, but I've been given a tentative all-clear in terms of structural damage, providing that the later follow-up doesn't reveal anything horrid underneath said blips

Gracias for the well-wishes. I didn't reply to this before due to extreme dissertation-related deadness, but I really appreciated the vote of confidence! I have just discovered that baudrillard has had all of my thoughts before me, damn it. Or, at least, he has had them published before me. (One I definitely had before he thought of it, by about a year, I am sure...)
