No no no this is a complete disaster!
I'm going to starve to death. Quite possibly in a literal way, as bananas comprise about 1/3 of my daily calorie intake.
On a more serious note, this spells disaster for millions of people who are dependent on this crop.

Of course I feel awful for those whose economies (personal and community) are tied to this crop. But I also feel awful for ME! I'm with you - I love my bananas.
