If I was a huge RPG fan, I'd get this just on your word.. but since I've never really got huge into them, I'm not sure. You could have at least told us what the game is about in your post dedicated to the game ;). I don't feel like trying to find out on the official website.
Your fiancee, who is a Goddess and her name is Ki, gets kidnapped and your quest is to get her back. Basically, the first dungeon is 10 floors..Everytime you enter the dungeon you get a "feather" that you can use to get back to town, to sell, buy, upgrade, store, etc..But once you go back into the dungeon you start back at Dungeon level 1. When you die, you lose all the items you have equiped and half your gold, but items you have in storage or items you have "engraved" (starting off you can only engrave one, but I'm at the point now to where I can engrave two) stay with you; you get to keep your characters level, though. I kept dying at level 9, so I kept losing my armor..So, I got smart and kept beefing up, everytime I'd get to level 8 I'd go back to town, sell my extra items, store the pretty good ones, try to combine some (you can combine two pieces of armor, or two weapons, and it'll improve the armor), and head back. I eventually got at a high level and got some rare armor, so I beat level 9 and 10. I'm at the second dungeon now.

I haven't gotten to play Inuyasha, yet..I've been playing Nightmare of Druaga..Plus, I played La Pucelle for like four hours the other day..and I tried Phantom Brave out, yesterday before work.
You gotta get Nightmare of Druaga dude, it's hard but rewarding.
