Movies & AtF2
Saw Tropic Thunder this afternoon. Actually turned out to be a much better, well-crafted film than I expected.
AfF2 notes have begun. I have a LOT of things to do before I even get into the meat of the story, but they've started. One of the downsides of building such a huge universe like I did in AtF is that I have to get everyone straight.
Best way to do that? I'm writing bios for the major characters.
It's a personal choice. Just getting head screwed back on. It forces me to look back and make sure I don't miss anything, although I will have to sit down and read the series from cover-to-cover at some point. It'll also be a way for me to clarify any leaps that need to be made in a character's story in the two year gap that we'll see in the story.
I might post all of them here. I might not. When all is said and done I'll probably write a dozen, maybe fourteen bios.

Name: Hermione Caroline Granger
Birthdate: 5 May 1998
AtF2 Age: 21
Bio: The very definition of "unexpected pregnancy," Hermione Caroline Granger arrived in the world as Hermione Caroline Wilkins. Her parents, Charlotte and Daniel Granger, had had their memories altered for their protection by their daughter, Hermione Jean Granger, and the Auror Nymphadora Tonks in 1997. Soon after, they left England as Wendell & Monica Wilkins, unaware of their previous lives and family. After arriving in Australia, the two decided they should "finally" start a family, and gave birth their "first" child. After much soul-searching, Hermione Jean decided to return her parents back to their normal states, and introduced them to their new daughter.
Although sharing a name with her older sister (much to almost everyone's confusion), the two women couldn't be less alike. Hermione Caroline Granger was born a Muggle, with absolutely no magical power to speak of. Growing up wandless, while surrounded by wizards and witches within her family and without, Hermione Caroline found herself envious of their abilities. Unlike her linear, textbook-loving sister, Hermione Caroline has a deep love of fantasy and science fiction, including regular interaction with various online role-playing games. One could argue that her interests have been spurred by the need for something more than what her Muggle upbringing allows her.
This love of all things fantastic was supported and strengthened by her best friend, the metamorphmagus Teddy Lupin. Best friends since they were two years old, the pair developed a mutual understanding of each others' worlds and interest, which turned eventually into love. As of After the Flaw, Hermione Caroline and Teddy are engaged to be married.
Hermione Caroline Granger has recently graduated from Bristol with a degree in Computer Science.
