Alright...now that I've stopped laughing my ass off, I'd like to try to comment. (And here I am, watching Transformers again.)
I loved this chapter. There is no other way to describe it. Everything worked really well, falling into each place. (I really hope that Ron can come to terms with the Malfoy family. I think Arthur will. He seems to be trying at the very least.) I don't really care what happens to Lucius. But does Arthur and Ron really have to hate Draco and Narcissa?
Anyway, I found Ron's reaction really funny. Typical, really. But at the same time it kind of irritated me. I'm not surprised at that either. I think it's supposed to.
And I think you wrote Hermione and Ron really well as you approached the end of the chapter there. They need the time alone. *nod* And I loved their hints for people to leave. Okay, okay, not hints. Flat out get the hell away. They need some alone time!
I had to do a LOT of studying for this chapter, since my knowledge of post-birth etiquette was next to nothing. And one or two places said "look, you're wiped out and your family's going to want to see the baby as often as possible. Don't be afraid to say get the fuck out."
Hermione's tough, but, yeah, she doesn't have the physical endurance that Ginny has. I'm ASSUMING that that would make a difference in the delivery room, but what do I know? ;)
its quite long... but you know what... i really really enjoyed reading it... when i eventually arrived at the end i find myself asking for more... hahahaha... :)) great job!
http://kanedax.livejournal.com/171048.html is the chapter list. the first one if After The Flaw, starts 15 minutes after the end of Deathly Hallows. And there are links at the top and bottom of each chapter moving you on to the next chapter (Three Months Later, Eleven Months Later, etc).
Another very nice chapter. I would be a little frightened myself if I were Hermione and Ron was offering to be a stay at home father and home school my children, knowing what I know about HIS study habits.
I think she trusts him with the raising and the feeding and the diaper changing and all that. She's seen him work his magic when they were in Australia. But, yeah, it's the education thing that's getting her nervous.
