If it is any consolation, America isn't the only country with such dipshit behaviour towards the Orlando shootings:

Meanwhile, we have local Muslims saying it's a good thing all those sinners were killed because nobody cares about Syrians. Never mind that mass murder is a sin in the Quran!

Yeah... though it may seem to be the case a lot of the time, especially lately, you're right that the USA actually does not have the sole monopoly on disgusting dirtbags saying asinine things.

I can only speak for my own country, though, and in my opinion, it is disgraceful and reprehensible that roughly half (at least) of the population here simply will not take the gun problem seriously, or even accept that there is a gun problem in the first place, at least not without trying to shift the blame elsewhere. For instance, in this case, they keep saying stupid shit like "Durr, guns aren't the problem, radical Islam is the problem, herp" (as if every single mass shooting in the United States has been done by a radical Islamist, which most certainly is not the case[1]). If the Orlando shooter was indeed acting as an agent of ISIS or whatever (and not "merely" as a deranged homophobe), then yes, that's terrible, of course, but that is not somehow irreconcilable with the fact that the USA most assuredly does have a gun problem, above ( ... )
