Weather, bus, and stuff

I took the bus for the mile and a half or so it takes to get to work this morning, because it is putting it down out there right now. (For once... oh wait, it supposedly rains here all the time, what am I thinking?) If it's still doing this in the evening, I'll probably take the bus back as well ( Read more... )

I've seen a couple copies of Eternal Darkness available locally secondhand. One is being sold at 35 bucks. It's basically just the disc and the case insert/label art. No manual, and the actual case isn't a GC case.

The other copy I -think- is complete, but is being sold for 69.95.

Yeah, I don't own the game as a result despite being a bit curious about it.

It's definitely a good game, worth at least $35 if you could get the whole package, but yeah I wouldn't pay that for some half-ass packaging that only has the disc though. And I (probably) wouldn't pay $70 for it, regardless. It didn't cost that much new. >_>

Yeah, the store selling it LOVES overcharging. Before Disgaea got it's Greatest Hits release they were trying to charge 100 dollars for their last few copies of it. Then the GH landed and was being sold for 20 bucks so... yeah, they had to bring the price back down to something sane for a bit. Although they're charging 50ish for it now.

In the past I also saw them trying to sell things like FF1 for close to 100 bucks (it had a box! wow :P likely no instruction manual tho) and Chrono Trigger on the SNES for 150ish. (No box for that one. cartridge only.)

I'm probably going to look into the copies of the Atelier series I saw at a different store downtown. Used, but it's priced a bit more like a used game, so it'll depend on if it has a manual or not. Their copy of Atelier 3 that they had didn't have one unfortunately but I'll check out 1 and 2.
