"The Internet Trashed Donald Trump and Mike Pence's Disastrous '60 Minutes' Interview"

Jul 18, 2016 00:19

"Within the first 20 minutes of the show after the interview began, Trump tweeted that the final cut of the interview was 'total and complete disaster.'"

Um, no. As it shows right there in the article itself, it was @realDenaldTrump that made that tweet. Denald. Not Donald. In other words, an obvious parody account.

(EDIT) And now, of course, they've edited the article to remove the reference to the parody tweet in an attempt to make it look like they never fucked up, though they clearly had. (/EDIT)

Look, I know it's very easy to mock the guy, and people want to do it as much as they can (I sure know I do), but Donald Trump says enough legit asinine bullshit on his own Twitter account and other places without people needing to attribute the words of a clear parody account as Trump's own, whether by accident or on purpose (either way, shame on complex.com [a site I'd never even heard of prior to this, so I have no idea how "big" it is or anything, it's just that I was seeing people on my follow list retweeting this article]).

With that said, I haven't seen Trump's 60 Minutes interview, and I have no interest in ever watching it, either, so I don't know, maybe it actually is the "disaster" that the parody account claimed it to be. I wouldn't doubt it, given that Trump's involved, after all.
