Sick of this shit.
It is my fervent wish that all telemarketers, scammers, survey takers, unsolicited charity callers and the like would all go die in a blaze.

The phone has been ringing almost constantly today, and roughly 99.999% of the calls have been among the aforementioned assholes.

We're on the Do Not Call list, mind you, but I have come to the conclusion that the DNC list is mostly an ineffectual joke.

Seriously, for the past several weeks, aggravating asshats have been repeatedly calling our landline phone and asking to speak to someone named "Randy" (and, yes, it was definitely "Randy" and not my actual first name, which is one letter removed from that). Every time they've called (which has been at least two or three dozen times now), they've been told that nobody named "Randy" lives here and have been told to stop calling, but they just keep on fucking calling. It has gone well beyond the point of them possibly simply being someone with the wrong number and legitimately confused about it (unless I'm just grossly underestimating the capacity for multiple people to be flat out fucking retarded, that is). They've even said that they agreed to stop calling us... only to then call 30 minutes to an hour or so later asking for "Randy" yet again. They usually call three or four times a day, at least, though they occasionally take a day or two break between attempted calls. The most telling clue that it's an attempt at a scam of some sort (though what the fuck they get out of calling and asking for someone that they know doesn't live here, I have no idea) is that the two times I used 1169 to get their number, it was a different number each time (3105799108 and 8552550105, for the record, though I'm pretty sure those numbers were most likely spoofed, and I'd guess that they've been using more numbers than just those two as well). I still reported those particular calls to the Do Not Call site, regardless of how pointless it probably was to do so. In any case, no matter what, I wish they'd just fucking piss off and horribly die, already.
