"Yu Suzuki Working On Shenmue Town" Not that I care except to rant about it, though, because as I've
already said, I don't want something that is "less of an actual online game and more of a social space with minigames" (assuming it even becomes available for Western gamers, and if it doesn't, it won't be any sort of loss in my eyes).
I want Shenmue III.
I don't want MMO Shenmue.
I don't want some gaiden Shenmue thing that is mostly unrelated to the main series (though, that said, it could work if done well, i.e. they make it more like an actual Shenmue game and not like this crap here).
I don't want "less of an actual online game and more of a social space with minigames." And to reiterate, I don't even want "an actual online game" at all, for that matter.
I. Want. Shenmue. Three.
That is all.
The only marginally good thing about this whole deal is that it shows that Sega hasn't altogether abandoned Shenmue, which seemed to have been the case until now, given that
Shenmue II came out almost nine years ago and there's been nary a peep out of them since then (aside from Ryo being put in that racing game, but that doesn't much count). Therefore, there is still the tiniest of hopes that maybe we will see a true Shenmue III at some point in the next decade or two.
