Reasons yesterday rocked: 1) Busy but good day at work; 2) Park(ed car) lunch worked out because the car with all the windows open caught the breezes -- and I was able to warm up from the cold inside; 3) Survived the pouring rain drive home; 4) Quiet evening; 5) Somewhere along the way my headache finally gave up.

Although a Monday, yesterday pretty much rocked: 1) Clearly, we have achieved summer driving -- not even a back up going home as I approached Collegeville on Germantown!; 2) Monday lunch out/veggie stop was particularly pleasant; 3) Discovered I didn't leave quite as bad a mess on Friday as I thought I did; 4) Approached the topic of a different ( Read more... )

Why yesterday rocked: 1) Good sleep, up when I wanted to be up; 2) Good progress on work room; 3) Plenty of hanging and recovering time; 4) Kittens always help with recovery;

Why the weekend so far rocked:  Friday: 1) Super excellent drive to work; 2) Despite last minute stuff, I got out on the early dismissal; 3) Managed to do the things I needed to do and still get to bed early; Saturday: 1) Was all ready before my ride was due; 2) Nice drive to the event; 3) Nice, small, laid back event; 4) Students who want to learn ( Read more... )

Yesterday rocked because: 1) Even with stopping for gas, a good drive to work (love summer mornings); 2) Firm brought in an ice cream truck for an afternoon treat, yum; 3) Good customer service; 4) Good news received; 5) Good advice obtained. 

Reasons yesterday rocked: 1) Really lovely out, especially during park(ed car) lunch; 2) Got a reasonable amount of stuff done; 3) More done on planning for several projects in the queue; 4) Acceptable bed time

Reasons yesterday rocked: 1) Got plenty of sleep and felt much better all day; 2) Filed all the Motions; 3) Good progress with current knitting project; 4) Plans in hand for this weekend; 5) Retiring for the night to a cool bedroom on a hot day is luxury.

It was a *very* full weekend.  Friday had the lovely summer early dismissal, and finishing up of projects; Saturday saw the elevation of one very dear friend to the Order of the Laurel (SCA); there were lots of other really cool awards on Saturday (another Laurel, a Pelican, a number of things I've heard happened but didn't get to see), but I was ( Read more... )

Reasons today rocked: 1) Yeah, warm, but lovely breeze both when I got to sit in the car on arrival this morning, and again for park(ed car) lunch; 2) Was told today by one of the young attorneys that she thought me to be in my mid-to-late 40s; 3) Good progress on project; 4) Began crystallizing ideas for a long range project.

Reasons today has rocked (and I expect the rest to rock) 1) Relatively good drive to work; 2) Park(ed car) lunch; 3) Getting my phone set to play my music; 4) Got a little bit of research done for a project planned for next year; 5) Fantastic last minute plans for Sunday; 6) I *will* be getting much done on project for Saturday -- off to do that ( Read more... )
