Um, I'm thinking she will be okay. When I was showing her how to hold it etc she seemed fine with it, actually really excited that her left hand would be doing the finger work! :) She is so funny, she eats left handed and writes left handed, but she throws a ball and golfs right handed, so I'm hoping this will be natural for her.

Aww thanks! I've missed you and everyone too! Its crazy to me how much I enjoy LJ, but then somedays I'm like ugh no computer time I'm dead, haha.

Wooo cool! I always hoped she would play it, so I was estatic that she really wanted to. You are so right though, I'd hate to force her to do it like a lot of parents do. I always wanted to play the piano too, and I kind of wanted her to, but glad all the same she picked this up. Good luck with your future kids! ;)

That's awesome that you got your violin fixed and given it to Gwynie. I hope she enjoys playing it.

The first instrument I ever played was violin. I started when I was six but then after a year or so the same thing that happened to you happened to me...the only violin teacher in town moved away. That started a cycle of instruments before I landed on flute...

I hope she does too! She seems really excited so far, so we will see!

Oh ok, I thought I remembered you playing a couple instruments. I think that is so amazing that you have that background with it! That's so great though that you found the one you love and still play!
