[There's a sharp, somewhat audible swallow, followed by glass lightly being set down upon a wooden surface. Then a few moments of silence, a bit of an irritated sigh. The device had started up on its own, but instead of just turn the feed off, Kyou addresses it.]...Did anyone else smell blood on the fairgrounds? I couldn't have been the only one ( Read more... )

That's getting desperate, even for your kind. ((Feel free to note his choice of words there.))

Vampires or hunters?

There's a special unit amongst the government that works along with the normal police force that takes care of matters that involve vampire criminals. Some of its members are vampires.

The ones from your world...are they born or created?

The majority are born. It's in their genes. Created ones are around, though.

How do the ones who are born treat the created?

And how do the created treat the natural born?

Some don't like it. There's discrimination, but I don't think that'll ever completely die out. It just varies, to be honest. Just like everyone has their own personality, many naturals have their own opinion towards the created ones. Some don't even pay attention to the fact and just go about their lives, while others display more of a high & mighty attitude, since they were never human at all. For the most part though, the natural born, created, and humans know the laws.

The created... eh. Like I said, there aren't a whole lot, and it's nothing they really focus on. For many of them, becoming a vampire was used as a last resort effort to save the persons life. Although there's also the inter-species couples, where the human partner chooses to convert.

To be honest, the dispute is more noticeable when it comes to the humans, and to a degree, those who are half.

I'm going back to the carnival. If we can find the source, we might be able to use it too. Depending on what the source is.

That might be a good idea. I noticed that the smell was stronger in some areas than in others, so at least there's some kind of lead.
