I suddenly have this bad desire to play through the Legacy of Kain series

Funny thing is, I don't own a single of 'em, and only played Soul Reaver from borrowing the games :P

Guess I have a collection to start ^^

The only three that you really need to play would be Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain, Soul Reaver 2 and Defiance. The first Soul Reaver sucked; there wasn't enough story and it was too much like Tomb Raider. The second Blood Omen wasn't even made by the "normal" LoK writers and designers. As a result, it's kind of screwy. Not to mention that the events in Blood Omen 2 are only possible after the events of Soul Reaver 2 (and to a certain extent, Defiance).

yeah, I read about 2. I was just interested in the whole confusing mess where Kain realized he was stuck in a state of continual perpetuity unless he could get Raziel to change his fate. Kinda killed the whole point of being a balance guardian when you realize you're f***ed no matter the choice. I liked the first soul reaver, though the second blew it out of the water which I found impossible to believe considering there wasn't a single boss fight in the whole mess lol

I haven't played any of the blood omen games, and I keep trying to get Defiance but end up finding reasons not to... which I can't understand why anymore considering it's only $15 at this point if that.

Wahhh... it was such a fun story ; ;

That's sad, considering that Blood Omen and Defiance were the two best games in the series. (Though Soul Reaver 2 definately ranks up there...)

Heyyyy... I only caught on like half way, and I only started 'cause Raziel seemed like an interesting character.... to which he was... and now I gotta go allll the way back and start over... though after reading that bit about Blood Omen 2, I'd probably play it anyway on a "just because"
