In short, all bonds have to have a common thread. If your common thread before was your 'Master' then that's what links you now.
If you miss that bond you had before, but do not wish to return 'to' being under a Master... Well that can be a little harder.
You have to look inside yourself, and inside each of the other members of this group and find something within them. Something within them as a 'person' not as whatever you were before. That you can admire/respect/accept and be willing to be connected to.
It's not impossible, but if you want to be the focal, that means being the leader. And that is 'not' always easy.
If you all thought alike then it would probably be. But you're each your own person, and different interests/personalities tend to clash. So as the focal you'll have to be the one to smooth over the arguments and in a way remind them why they are together.
